Dave
Dave has spent most of his life traveling to far-off distant places around the world. His passports are filled with stamps from over 90 countries where he has helped establish mission work to proclaim the gospel and plant churches among the least reached people on earth. Since 1995, he and his wife Lorene have served the local church by mobilizing missionaries, caring for those who are sent, and equipping the congregations with long-term sustainable strategies to accomplish our Lord’s Great Commission.
Dave and Lorene treasure their spiritual gift of hospitality and continually open their home to visitors from every nation, tribe and tongue. Sometimes they stay for dinner, at other times they visit for a couple days/weeks, and quite often they have missionary kids who move in until they find their next home.
When not working, you can find them on their pontoon boat spending time with their unchurched neighbors singing the Billy Joel song “I’d rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.” Not because sinners are more fun, but because they’ve been called to be salt and light in a bland and darkened world.
