Thinking About Persecution
We are continuing in our series on the Beatitudes and looking at the eighth line; “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake.” Persecution is often something we don’t want to think about. In fact, it is what most of us run from. Yet, the bible tells us that “anyone who wants to live a Godly life will face persecution.” And Jesus himself told us that if they persecuted him, they will persecute us also.
So, if we desire to live unto Christ and be His people in this world, we better know how to face persecution well. We better take some time and explore His story and teachings to learn how to live righteously and bear the persecution which will come.
