Redemption
The Bible gives us God’s revealed character and nature. So, as image-bearers, we see a lot of our own purposed character and nature. If you had to summarize the Bible, you would end up with something like, “redeeming love.” The focal point of God’s redeeming love is the cross of Jesus Christ.
During the season of Lent, we have focused on the purposes and accomplishments of the cross. We continue this week with the liberating act of God’s redeeming love for us – not just to save us from our sin, but to save us for his glory and our personal joy through holiness.
