Love 2022
On the second week of Advent, we consider the great love God has for mankind. Of all the commands in the Bible, the greatest of which is about love: “Love the Lord your God… and love others as yourself.” We also read in Corinthians that we are to “pursue love” for, without love, all of our eloquent speeches, faithful endeavors, and grand works are meaningless. Thus, above all, we are called to love and abide in love!
For Christians, we aren’t merely commanded to love, nor merely called to love, but we are compelled to love because we believe that one man died for us all; that Jesus died for each and every one of us. It is because he loved us first and died for us that we love as he did. So let us love one another, for love is from God. Let us learn this love from the one who loved us, above even his own life.
