Gospel (Audio)
This Sunday we will begin a new series of messages focused on praying for what is really important. There are many good things our church can be doing but what is most important? The same is true in our personal lives. We live in constant tension between the urgent and the important. In Charles E Hummel’s booklet, Tyranny of the Urgent, he says, “Your greatest danger is letting the urgent things crowd out the important. There is an insidious tendency to neglect important tasks that do not have to be done today—or even this week.”
So, what is most important? How do we keep the urgent from distracting us from what is really important? That is what we will talk about Sunday. Don’t allow the urgent cause you to miss what is most important this Sunday.
