Faith
Faith is like gravity. We know it exists and we cannot live without it very well, but it is difficult to prove, hard to see, and frustrating to explain. We may feel uncomfortable admitting it, but everyone struggles with faith. Questions arise. Do I have enough faith? Is faith blind or rational? Can it be both?
Questions about faith are always understandable because faith is difficult. The misstep we often make when it comes to faith is the object of our faith. The very fact that we have a personal faith leads us to believe that the origin and quality of our faith is inside us.
Through his word, God consistently and faithfully reminds us that he is the “author and perfecter of our faith.” (Hebrews 12:2) So, the object of our faith is outside of ourselves, like a gift freely given and purposed to enjoy. This is a far cry from the do-more-try-harder faith we can so easily talk ourselves into.
Watch the message for a deep and honest look into faith. You will find the truth about faith joyful and liberating.
