“DEEPENING RELATIONSHIPS TO MAKE A GOSPEL IMPACT”

In 2019 Briarcliff Church began a missions partnership with The Crecer Foundation, a Kansas City based organization committed to planting churches and equipping church leaders throughout South America. As a result of prayer, conversations, and alignment, we were connected with a growing congregation in Saldán, Argentina, a suburb of Córdoba, Argentina.

Since our initial connection we have developed deepening relationships with the people in Saldán and are well-positioned to come alongside them to make a gospel impact in their community.

“OUR GOAL IS TO SEE THE CHURCH AND COMMUNITY FLOURISH IN ALL WAYS”

Since the beginning of our relationship with Crecer, our relationship with the church in Saldán has been characterized by relational and economic sustainability. This means that every time we return to Saldán we spend time with the same people to deepen those relationship, while we continue to meet more people from the congregation and the larger community. This also means that our relationship with Saldán, and Crecer in general, is not predicated on the money we give them. While we are financially generous with the Saldán congregation, our goal (as is our goal here) is to see the church and the community flourish in all ways.

“AS PARTNERS, WE HAVE MUCH TO LEARN FROM ONE ANOTHER”

The relational and economic sustainability goals help to guide how we interact with the people of Saldán. As partners, we have much to learn from one another. Therefore, trips to Saldán are primarily concerned with the time we spend with the people rather than the projects we complete. That said, there is always good work to do as we continue to integrate the congregations of Briarcliff and Saldán so that we both will flourish, and God will be glorified.

ARGENTINA MISSION TRIP
March 21-31, 2025

As we seek to build relationships with the Crecer Church movement in the surrounding areas of Cordoba Argentina, this trip will focus on retrofitting the church meeting space in La Falda with audio equipment, multimedia resources, and acoustical tile installation to regulate the sound conditions. Some light construction work such as repairing a deck, adding external lights to the building and church sign, installing drywall in the hallway, and adding a sidewalk sign will also be completed.

As always, there will be outreach and teaching opportunities for inviting the neighborhood to evening classes with topics TBD based upon skills of the team members who volunteer. Potential topics include “Conversational English”, Music and Art, Marriage and Parenting.
