1 Corinthians 12
With the holiday season quickly approaching – we start to make lists and check advertisements in preparation for buying gifts for those we love in our lives. A good gift is a gift that is thoughtful and meaningful to the person receiving it. A good gift makes us feel known and loved by the giver and deepens our connection with them.
In chapter 12 of 1 Corinthians, Paul reminds us that the Holy Spirit has imbued us with spiritual gifts from God our Father! These gifts are unique to each of us and come from a God that not only knows and loves us, but also created us in is his image. These gifts were given to us by God through his Holy Spirit for our sanctification and for the edification of the church.
