operation Christmas child

Briarcliff Church has the opportunity to reach families with the Gospel through Operation Christmas Child.  OCC is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization.  Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ.  They ship these simple gifts to children affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, famine, and disease.  For some, this may be the first time they learn about the gospel.

Briarcliff Church’s goal is to collect 400 filled boxes for 2020.  Shoeboxes will be available to pick up in the lobby beginning Sunday, October 4.  Boxes should be returned by November 16 in time for National Collection Week, which is November 16 – November 23.

Briarcliff Church will once again be a drop off location during National Collection Week for others in the community to drop off filled boxes.  We will be set up in the lobby on the following days and times:

Monday, November 16 | 10a-12p
Tuesday, November 17 | 12p-2p
Wednesday, November 18 | 10a-12p
Thursday, November 19 | 3p-5p
Friday, November 20 | 10a-12p
Saturday, November 21 | 9a-11a
Sunday, November 22 | 1p-3p
