Greetings E-news Friends,

When was was the last time you cried out to God with this question--”WHY?” This Sunday we will look at four why questions that were raised during the plagues in Egypt. You have probably asked these same questions. Struggling with the question why can be a great learning experience. How can that be? That is what we will address this Sunday. Don’t miss it!

Bring your bible and a journal

It was great to see those of you who are beginning to use your journal. Be ready to take notes this Sunday, use them in your daily study of Exodus and use them in your small group time. You will be pleased on how God works in your life by taking this simple action.

Discover Your Design (DYD)

Great response to Discover Your Design. The October class is full.  The next class will be January 7 and 14, 2018.  The sign-up form will be available soon. Any questions, e-mail Charlene at .

Lansing Christmas Banquet

On December 8, our prison ministry volunteers will help serve at the annual Christmas Banquet for the inmates who participate in the Beauty for Ashes and Brothers in Blue programs at Lansing Minimum Correctional Facility. The inmates are allowed to invite family members, (including children). It is a wonderful and heartwarming event which often leads to reconciliation and forgiveness. The men are so appreciative and you will feel blessed as you help glorify God in your serving. For more information about this opportunity, along with other ways you can contribute to this event, please click HERE.  The registration deadline to attend and serve at the banquet is Wednesday, October 4.

Family FallFest

We have a great team at work in planning this year’s Family FallFest. This is an excellent opportunity to invite unchurched families to a fun filled event and it gives us the privilege of getting acquainted.

Plan to join in the fun by volunteering. Check out the opportunities and sign up now.

Candy, candy and more candy

Each year you respond so generously in bringing candy to the Family FallFest. It is time to do it again. We will begin collecting the candy on Sunday, October 8. So get ready!

Giving nutrition

This Sunday we will be collecting food for those in need. Remember them when you shop this week. It is a small thing to do but a big thing to those who need food.
