Greetings E-news Friends,

This Sunday
How do you pray when you find yourself between “a rock and a hard place?” That is what we will learn this Sunday as we unpack Psalm 34. King David had become a fugitive, running for his life from King Saul who is out to kill him. He flees to the land of the Philistines in hopes to find a safe haven, but they only see him as an enemy. So, he ends up taking refuge in a cave. How does he pray in this circumstance? That’s what we will learn from Psalm 34. Don’t miss it.

To follow up on the message this Sunday, read Psalm 34 each day next week. Then use the prayer guide to focus on just one verse each day. Let it guide you to greater depths of praying. You can find the prayer guide HERE.

Night of Worship
Mark your calendars for a night of worship on Sunday evening, June 9th at 6:00 PM. Our worship team will be joined by worship leader and musician John Brewer and illuminating artist Kelly Kruse for a unique and unforgettable evening of worship, prayer and community as we walk out the teaching of Praying the Psalms.  Child care will be available for ages birth-3.  So that we can plan sufficiently, children must be registered by June 2.  To register for child care, click HERE.

Camp Revolution 2019 @ John Brown University
Camp Revolution is a week-long experience June 17th-21st that we don’t want your 6th-12th grader to miss! We will spend the week on the campus of John Brown University, located in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. JBU has new and updated dormitories and great rec fields. There’s a recreation center with an indoor pool, basketball, racquetball, volleyball and more. Each day will be packed with challenging Squad times, great worship, interactive Late-night events and loads of free time. The cost for camp per student will be $125. You can register your student(s) HERE!

As the school year comes to an end, the excitement for being in a new grade begins. Briarcliff’s Next Generation Ministries will promote to the next grade on Sunday August 18th. Children and students will remain in their current grade level until then. For those transitioning from Briarcliff Kids to Briarcliff Students, information will be sent about opportunities to join the students for certain events this Summer.

City Union Mission Serving Opportunity
One of our local mission partners is City Union Mission. At Camp CUMCITO (City Union Mission Camp in the Ozarks) they offer a one-week summer Bible camp experience to about 600 children and teens ages 4-16.  Priority is given to those who aren’t able to pay. There are a variety of opportunities to volunteer at one of the camps.  If you would like more information about the opportunities, please pick up a brochure from the information center or email
