Greetings E-news Friends,

This Sunday
Easter is only 7 weeks away. Do you know how much of each of the four gospels is devoted to the final week of Jesus before his resurrection (Easter)? Matthew and Mark devote a third, Luke a fourth and John a half. This Sunday we will begin unpacking the final week of Jesus before his resurrection, beginning with the triumphal entry into Jerusalem. You may be surprised at what this means to us today. It is the greatest week in all of history. It is also packed with a life-changing message. We look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday as we are inspired by the truth of this final week before the resurrection of Jesus.

If you missed last Sunday, you can listen HERE

Baptism - March 10
Have you been baptized since making a commitment to follow Jesus? It is one of the first ways to declare your faith. The New Testament is clear that “those who had received his word were baptized.” It is a beautiful and meaningful step of demonstrating publicly what Jesus has done inwardly in your life. It is an experience that can truly bless you and certainly glorify our Lord. Click HERE to read more about baptism.

Baptism is scheduled for Sunday, March 10.  We would love to visit with you about baptism if that is your next step as a follower of Jesus. If you have not been baptized, or have questions about baptism, let us know by clicking HERE.

Partnering With Parents in Teaching Children About God!
Would you like to be a part of impacting the next generation for Jesus? We  still have a few opportunities in Briarcliff Kids.  There are openings for 2 leaders at 9:00 AM and 4 leaders at 10:45 AM on Sundays, and 1 leader for AWANA which is our Wednesday evening group for kids.

To receive more information, please click HERE or complete the Briarcliff Kids’ card found in the chair pocket. The ministry leader will connect with you immediately.

Premarital / Newly Married Class
Briarcliff Church’s premarital/newly married ministry is designed to give engaged and newly married couples a unique opportunity to learn, seek wisdom, and receive counsel about marriage in a safe, fun, challenging and authentic environment. Premarital/newly married ministry exists to prepare couples for marriage by addressing common challenges in marriage from a biblical perspective. The dynamics of the class include large group teaching time, small group table discussion and other interactive learning opportunities. Our next class will begin on Sunday April 28th after second service and will meet for six weeks. For more information or to register, click HERE.

Small Groups
Our mission at Briarcliff is to share the gospel, grow in community and serve others in a way that glorifies God. Small groups are a major part of growing in community.  Find out more  by clicking HERE.

Do you need to catch up?
These past few weeks have brought challenging weather and many of you have been unable to attend worship services. As a result, we fell 12.5% short on meeting our budget. A safe way to catch up or give when unable to attend is by on-line giving. You can make a one-time or recurring gift. You have been very faithful in giving and we are confident we will get caught up. To join others in giving on-line, click HERE.

Providing Food for Those in Need
On the first Sunday each month, Briarcliff Church collects non-perishable food items for the Metropolitan Lutheran Ministries food pantry.  This is another way we can help those in need.  The collection container will be located in the coffee area.  Please bring your food items Sunday, March 3. Donations can be placed in the collection barrel at any time during the month.

Briarcliff Students
Senior Night | March 22nd
We are thrilled about having our second Senior Night! All students who are seniors in high school are invited to the Stonecypher’s house on March 22nd at 6:30PM for a time of fellowship, games and s’mores! We hope to give Biblical wisdom to seniors as they take their next steps in their journey with Christ. Following the night, we will send parents an email on what was discussed and areas in which we feel the seniors might need encouragement.
