Greetings E-news Friends,

Our current message series is based on your responses in the  Personal Disciple Plan inventory (PDP). The last two weeks we have looked at the opportunity of getting a better grasp of the bible. Another area that you expressed as an opportunity to grow was in evangelism (sharing Jesus). Many of you do not feel very well equipped to help others know and follow Christ. Some of this may stem from not feeling well versed in the bible and the fear of being asked questions you cannot answer. What do you need to be well equipped? This Sunday you will learn three basic essentials in being equipped to share your faith. Do everything possible to join us this Sunday.

Summer Outreach

Is summer a good time to reach out to people not in church? YES! By all means! Summer is an excellent time to build relationships with those who seldom attend church. It is also a great time for your small group to engage in fellowship (also inviting unchurched to join you).

Here are just some thoughts to consider for your group:

1. Have a potluck meal and invite unchurched friends (not asking them to provide anything)

2. Go as a group to Faith and Family Night at the K, Saturday, July 7, 6:15 PM. Post-game will    feature select players and/or executives, as well as Scott Dawson of Safe at Home, rapper KJ-52, and then concluding with a concert by headliner Michael W. Smith.

3. Check out the T-Bone games and invite friends to join you. http://www.tbonesbaseball.com

4. Serve breakfast one Saturday at City Union Mission with your group. Invite an unchurched friend to join you. Many times they are more likely to serve at a mission before they would attend church.

5. Find an July 4th activity in KC for your group to attend and invite unchurched friends.

This is just a beginning. Do some brainstorming and planning with your small group. Take the opportunity to make a huge difference this summer. Share with us some of your ideas and plans.

At Briarcliff, we make an impact on each child (and their family) who opens one of the 1400 shoeboxes we are packing on October 13.  A shoebox where they find fun items, and the Gospel is shared. Expect a blessing as you share with children around the world.

Briarcliff Students Lake Weekend
July 27th-29th | Table Rock Lake | Reeds Spring, Missouri
Briarcliff Students are going to Pastor Vernon's Lake House on Table Rock Lake at the end of July! This will be a great opportunity for students to bring their friends and enjoy the last days of summer. There will be swimming, tubing, jet skis, games, food and a great time of fellowship! Sunday morning we will have worship with the students. The cost for the event will be $20 per student to cover food and travel expenses. Click here to download and fill out the Church waiver and download a list of items to bring (Waivers can be sent to Nathan LeBlanc @ ). Click here to register!

Food Collection

As you do your grocery shopping this week, make sure to pick up a few extra items and bring them this Sunday. They will be distributed to those in need. This small act of kindness is certainly big for those in need of food.
