Greetings E-news Friends,
Encouraged. A Study of 1 Peter
According to a new survey conducted by the Barna Group, 82% of Christian adults believe the United States is facing a crisis in leadership--there aren’t enough good leaders. Godly leaders make a difference. They are necessary in a nation, church, school, as well as home. The bible has great examples of good and bad leadership--nations that flourished with godly leaders but also those that crumbled under bad leadership.
In our study of 1 Peter this Sunday, we will unpack some leadership lessons from Peter. He knew the challenges of persecution and the urgency of godly leaders necessary to flourish. Jesus had called him as a fisherman to follow him and trained him for three years to be a leader. History tells the story of how the small band of believers with godly leaders flourished beyond the ruling power of Rome. The same possibilities still exist today with godly leaders. You will be inspired, encouraged and challenged this Sunday as we unpack some lessons on leadership.
