Greetings E-news Friends,

Keeping love alive

At the heart of Moses’ final instruction to Israel before entering the Promised Land was what Jesus called the first and Great Commandment.  “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.” This remains true for us today. At the heart of our church and lives must be the love of God.

According to Andrew Murray, “There is no joy like love. His joy is nothing but the joy of love, being loved and of loving. It is this joy He wants us to share: the joy of being loved of the Father and of Him; the joy of, in our turn, loving and living for those around us.”

This Sunday we will look at three qualities necessary for the joy of that love to cascade from our hearts to our church, families and community. Get ready to be filled with this joy and love.

Briarcliff Kids

God has abundantly  blessed us with exponential growth in Briarcliff Kids, Nursery – Grade 5 and is faithfully touching hearts to teach children.  There has been a great response from parents to sub in their child’s class while two of our outstanding teachers are taking FInancial Peace University. We have two remaining positions in the Babies/Toddlers and one Kindergarten teacher at 10:45. Don’t miss the opportunity to volunteer in Briarcliff KIds. Find out more about theopportunities here.

Missions Information Meeting

We are in the process of expanding our mission effort beyond the walls of our church and community. One international trip to Haiti is in the making for this summer. If you would like to know more about this trip and where we are headed in the future, plan to attend the upcoming Mission Information Meeting on February 11, at 12:00 PM in the Training Room.

Exploring Faith

We will open this group again on February 11, at 4:30 PM. It is designed for people who are not sure about God, the bible, Jesus, eternity, purpose of life, or the question of suffering. If you have a friend who is skeptical about Christianity, invite them to come with you. The objective of our time together will be to lead people in thinking through what they believe, why they believe and on what they base their beliefs.  Register here for you and your friend(s).

Prayer Teams

There are still opportunities to be a part of a prayer team the first, second or third Sunday of the month. Each team meets at 8:00 AM for thirty minutes once a month. Register now to be a part of an indispensable part of our church.

Our next membership class is Sunday March 4 & 11 from 4-6p. Both classes are necessary. Membership class covers the beliefs, history, function and ministries of Briarcliff Church and will equip you with the appropriate information to take the best next step.
