Greetings E-news Friends,

Family Worship
Our worship services this Sunday (9:00 AM and 10:45 AM) will be a family worship time. All the children except birth through three will be joining us for worship.  Our Young Families and Children’s Ministry is one of the growing areas of our church. It is a joy each Sunday to see new families at Briarcliff. This would be an excellent time to invite a young family in your neighborhood to join us for worship.

A New Year

What a wonderful year we have experienced at Briarcliff. God has blessed our church  in phenomenal ways. The door of 2017 is about to close which means the opening of the New Year (2018) and all its possibilities. What better way to end the year than worshiping together at Briarcliff this Sunday—New Year’s Eve?

Year End giving

This Sunday will be the last time to make a year-end gift at church. You can also give online. It is safe and convenient.  With the tax changes next year, some of you may benefit by giving next year’s gift this year. Take a moment and check your record of giving this year. This is an excellent time to catch up on the times you may have missed. This will help us move into the new year with greater resources to expand  parking space and do additional renovations.

Thanks to all of you who have been very faithful in giving throughout the year. Through your generosity, we will see great things accomplished this coming year.

Challenge gift

Some of you have already responded to the challenge extended to Briarcliff Church in a grant of $50,000. Thanks! The challenge is for us to match the $50,000. Take the opportunity this Sunday  to help meet this challenge. Place your offering (up and above your regular giving) in an envelope and mark on it, “challenge.”

Exploring Faith

On Sunday, January 14, at 4:30 PM we will launch a six week session designed for people who are not sure about God, the bible, Jesus, eternity, purpose of life or the question of suffering. If you have a friend who is skeptical about Christianity, invite them to come with you.  This is not designed for you who already follow Christ, but those yet to cross the line of faith and become a follower of Christ.

Everyone believes something and believes it very strongly. The object of our time together will be to lead people in thinking through what they believe, why they believe and on what  they base their beliefs.  Register here.
