Greetings E-news Friends,

Encouraged. A study of 1 Peter:
Could you use some encouragement? The fact of life is, we all face times when we need some serious encouragement. The next installment of 1 Peter is rich with encouragement. Bring your journal and expect God to speak and encourage you. If you missed getting a journal, you can pick one up this Sunday in the lobby. Also, you can learn more about the discipleship journals here.

Exploring Faith
What do you believe about God, the bible, Jesus, eternity and evil? Are you clear about what you believe, why you believe what you believe, and can you substantiate what you believe? If you are not sure how to answer, then join us in the next session of  Exploring Faith which begins this Sunday, April 8, 4:30 PM-6:00 PM. The agenda is set by your questions. You will not be called on but you can ask any question on your mind about faith. We will meet in the new Training Room just off  the Fellowship Hall. You can enter the lower level through the east doors.   Register here for you and your friend(s).

Easter Weekend
What an exciting day we experienced at the  Easter Festival and Egg Hunt. We were able to connect with many new people and demonstrate God’s love. Thanks to a large number of volunteers who made it happen.

With three vibrant Easter Sunday services, we broke all attendance records at Briarcliff.  Thanks to all of you who came at 7:30 AM.

Discover Your Design (DYD)
This is your last opportunity to sign up for Discover Your Design that will be held on April 15 and 22 at 10:45 am.  We want each person who calls Briarcliff Church home to experience DYD. After discovering your SHAPE ---Spiritual Gifts, Heart (Passion),  Abilities, Personality, Experiences - you will have the opportunity to talk with a Discover Your Design coach to discover the best match of serving for you. Register now.

Personal Discipleship Plan (PDP)
It is exciting to see how many of you have gone on line and completed the Personal Discipleship Plan inventory.  As Christians committed to pursuing discipleship, our desire should be to intentionally grow together as disciples (students) of Jesus Christ.  To better determine how to grow, we must first be honest about our current reality. We must ask the questions, "What type of disciple am I today?" and "How can I grow as a disciple?" The PDP will help identify areas of strength and growth and give direction in setting life-changing goals. If you have not completed the PDP, take the next step.

Prison Ministry Opportunity
On Friday, May 18th our Prison Ministry volunteers will be taking the annual Spring BBQ Banquet into the Lansing Minimum Correctional Facility for the prisoners participating in the Christ-centered Beauty for Ashes and Brothers-in-Blue Ministries, their families, and the guards. Volunteers are needed to help set up and serve. For more information and to register, please click HERE.  All volunteers need to be registered by the end of the day Tuesday, April 10.
